For Immediate Release

FORT LAUDERDALE — Allin Interactive announced today at the SeaTrade Cruise Global conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the introduction of its integrated wireless screen casting option for the Allin DigiHD™ ITV platform.  This powerful new feature is being demonstrated to the cruise industry for the first time in the Allin Interactive booth #L3-304 from March 14-16 at the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.

“In today’s hospitality environment many guests desire the ability to use their own mobile device and the property’s high-speed WiFi Internet service to access their content subscription services (Netflix, HBO Now, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Pandora, etc.) as well as their own content such as pictures and videos they have captured while on vacation,” stated John Troutwine, SVP of business development at Allin Interactive.  “Cruise passengers expect the same experience, and we are happy to partner with TeleAdapt to deliver simple, safe, and secure wireless screen casting from guest mobile devices to in-room televisions, powered by Google’s Chromecast technology and delivered as an easy-to-use Allin ITV module.”

In the Allin solution a TeleAdapt RoomNet unit is deployed in each room in conjunction with Samsung or LG “embedded” televisions or Allin set-top boxes.  When the guest selects the “Screen Sharing” module on the Allin ITV main menu, the Allin system verifies that the room has already purchased a high-speed Internet access package.  If not, the packages are presented, the guest selects a package and the transaction is posted to the guest account.  “This creates another major entry point for internet package promotion and purchase, which helps to monetize the amenity,” said Brian Blair, President of Allin Interactive.

The Allin system generates a unique code that is displayed to the guest on the ITV interface.  After entering the code on their device the guest can then display their favorite content on the big screen via any cast-enabled app.

“Everything is controlled from the guest’s iOS or Android phone or tablet as well as Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X and Google Chromebook laptops, using the apps they already know and love,” stated Mr. Troutwine.  “Guests’ private information is never exposed, there is nothing to download, and there is no need to enter an e-mail or password on the Allin system.  The solution is elegant and simple in design, creating ease-of-use for cruise guests and seamless TV source changes.”

The introduction of screen casting in the cruise environment is timed to coincide with cruise line announcements of their intent to offer increased Internet bandwidth options for guests.  “We want to partner with our cruise line clients to give their guests what they want,” said Mr. Blair.  “The ability for guests to display their own streaming content on their cabin TV in a secure and simple manner is a major differentiation opportunity for our cruise line customers, and only serves to enhance the overall Allin value proposition.”
