Allin DigiHD ITV and “Royal iQ” Application to be Featured on Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 15, 2016 — Allin Interactive Corporation announced today that its DigiHD™ high-definition interactive television solution, as well as its “Royal iQ” mobile application, custom-built for Royal Caribbean International, will be featured on Royal Caribbean’s latest newbuilds Ovation of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas as they are launched in April and May, respectively.
“Allin’s industry-leading interactive television systems are available in over 27,000 guest staterooms on sixteen Royal Caribbean vessels, and we are excited to announce that Royal Caribbean has continued its commitment to Allin ITV technology on both Ovation of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas,” stated Brian Blair, president of Allin Interactive. Guests on the new ships will enjoy on-demand in-room entertainment while accessing real-time ship updates and information such as folio review, ship-to-guest messaging, and room service, all managed with Allin’s DigiManager™ browser-based content management portal.
In addition, both ships will activate Royal Caribbean’s novel “Royal iQ” application for guest iPhones, iPads, and Android phones, allowing guests to stay in touch with friends and family and access ship services no matter where they are on the ship. The application will also be available at freestanding iQ stations located around the ship for maximum convenience and to enable self-service printing of tour tickets and onboard statements. Royal iQ is integrated with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Planner calendar, capturing pre-cruise reservations and assembling a real-time view of the guest’s vacation. From there, guests can make dinner plans, book show tickets, order shore excursions, schedule onboard activities, and modify existing reservations with just a few taps. In addition, for a nominal fee the application offers unlimited calling and texting to friends and family onboard who also have the Royal iQ communication package. Plus, guests can take advantage of crystal clear outgoing (ship-to-shore) and incoming (shore-to-ship) calls, billed at a low per-minute rate.
“We offer an unmatched level of unique experiences across dining, entertainment and shore excursions. The real-time updates and ability to search, plan and reserve on your device of choice with Royal iQ creates the ability for our guests to spend less time planning and more time enjoying their vacations.” stated Jim Berra, Chief Marketing Officer at Royal Caribbean International.
